"Process loss is what happens when you pour liquid from one container into another. A bit of it sticks to the sides. The loss in each transfer may be tiny, but if you do it often enough, eventually the liquid is all gone. In organizations, process loss means the leaders' ideas and messages get diluted and distorted as they filter out through the organization. Even without deliberate misrepresentations, they lose their clarity and force."
